Dr. Jordi Rumià Arboix

ATTENDING PHYSICIAN IN NEUROSURGERY
SPECIALIST IN EPILEPSY AND MOVEMENT DISORDERS IN ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS

Dr. Jordi Rumià Arboix

After completing my residency in neurosurgery at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, I trained in epilepsy surgery at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and in Parkinson's surgery at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Grenoble (France). At the end of 1994, I returned to the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona as a specialist in neurosurgery, where we started the multidisciplinary Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery Program, which we have been developing and expanding to include more pathologies and pediatric patients -- in collaboration with the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu -- uninterruptedly for over almost three decades. Sharing this experience within the Instituto Clavel team, to provide neurosurgical treatment for serious neurological diseases is a very attractive project.
