Discover Pilates Duo at IC Rehabilitation

Our Pilates Reformer classes are always in high demand, so our center has acquired an additional machine, and we’ve added a new kind of class. From now on, you can do your Pilates Reformer classes with a partner or friend, while still enjoying the same personalized approach and professional guidance of our physical therapists and osteopaths.

What is Pilates Duo?

Pilates Duo is a way for two people to do their Pilates Reformer sessions together, sharing the space, and sharing their experience as they work out. One of the key benefits of this modality is that the exercises can be adapted to the specific needs, level, and objectives of each person, with the continued guidance of a professional.

In short, Pilates Duo combines the motivation that comes from working out with a partner, with the benefit of training at the individual level.

Pilates Reformer: work at your own pace

The Pilates Reformer system can be useful both for people who want to improve their physical performance under professional guidance and for people going through recovery after an injury.

Some of the overall benefits associated with Pilates Reformer are improved posture, increased strength, greater flexibility, and prevention of injuries, while specific goals can be set for each participant.

What does the Pilates Duo format provide?

Work out with a companion

Pilates Duo allows you to share the session with a trusted person. For many people, a commitment to train alongside a companion can be a way to make physical activity more dynamic and motivating.

Follow a personalized plan

Even though two people share a session, each can work according to their own needs. The exercises and the level of difficulty can be adapted to the characteristics of each patient.

Professional guidance

The classes take place under the guidance of specialized professionals who lead the exercises and can make sure that any necessary adjustments are made during the session.

Encourages persistence

To get the most out of any therapeutic exercise, it is very important to practice it on a regular basis. With Pilates Duo, you can establish fixed weekly schedules, making it easier to build a habit and get the benefits of following through with regular sessions.

Is Pilates Duo right for you?

Pilates Duo is designed for people interested in practicing Pilates Reformer with a companion, whether they are looking to improve their physical condition or are in the process of recovery from an injury.

As with all our Pilates Reformer sessions, you must first be evaluated by a physical therapist before beginning. This evaluation is necessary in order to design the most appropriate exercise plan for each person.

This evaluation allows the specialist to understand the characteristics and needs of each participant and adjust the work during the sessions.

This September, try Pilates Duo at ICR!

Instituto Clavel Rehabilitation is pleased to increase the classes we offer and launch this new training format thanks to the addition of a new Pilates Reformer machine.
